Effective September 1, 2013 and for services following that date:
The Anthem Network will be the new national provider network for all UPREHS active and early retiree members plans. UPREHS Medicare members will continue to access the First Health Network. If you are contracted with Anthem or Blue Cross/Blue Shield in your area, their participating contract will supersede any direct contract you may have with UPREHS.
Reminder: Your contract requires you to refer only to In-Network Providers. To locate participating professionals, go to FIND A DOCTOR/FACILITY above.
Some medical services are required to be pre-authorized before the service is performed. Prior authorization assures the patient of their highest level of benefits.
Depot Drug has a long history of mail order prescription service to our members. Railroad employees, retirees, Medicare members and their spouses look to us to be a partner with their physician in getting them the medications they need to maintain health.
We encourage your practice to e‐prescribe for Union Pacific Railroad Employes Health Systems (UPREHS) members.
